Website privacy policy

Privacy, in plain language.

Effective: August 5, 2026

This policy explains how Key Lake Labs, LLC handles information in connection with the public company website at keylakelabs.com. It does not yet describe the privacy practices of Hoot & Seek or another Key Lake Labs application. An app-specific or expanded policy will be published before a game or advertising service launches.

1. What the website does not ask you to provide

The current website does not offer user accounts, an email list, a contact form, comments, surveys, purchases, or payment processing. We do not currently use behavioral analytics, advertising pixels, targeted advertising, or website advertising.

2. Technical information processed automatically

We use Cloudflare to host, route, deliver, and protect the website. When you visit, Cloudflare may automatically process limited technical information needed to provide and secure the site. This may include your Internet Protocol address, approximate location derived from that address, browser and device type, operating system, requested page or file, referring page, access date and time, and security or error information.

Cloudflare processes information under its own contractual and legal responsibilities. You can learn more in Cloudflare’s Privacy Policy.

3. Why this technical information is used

Technical information may be used to deliver requested pages, maintain availability and performance, prevent abuse, investigate errors or security events, and comply with applicable legal obligations. Key Lake Labs does not use this website to build advertising profiles about visitors.

4. Cookies and similar technologies

The website does not intentionally set marketing or behavioral-advertising cookies. Cloudflare may use strictly necessary cookies or similar technologies if a security, challenge, bot-management, rate-limiting, load-balancing, or network-routing feature requires them. The technologies present can depend on the security features active at the time of a visit.

5. Email communications

If you choose to email us, we receive the address you use and the information you include. We use it to respond, keep appropriate business records, protect our systems, and meet legal obligations. Please do not send sensitive personal information that is unnecessary for your request.

6. Sharing, sale, and targeted advertising

We may allow service providers such as Cloudflare to process limited information as needed to operate and secure the website. We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect rights or safety, or as part of a legitimate business transaction subject to appropriate safeguards.

Key Lake Labs does not sell personal information collected through this website, share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, or use it for targeted advertising. Because the website does not conduct those activities, it does not currently require a separate “Do Not Sell or Share” mechanism.

7. Retention

Cloudflare retains technical information according to the services enabled and its applicable terms. Key Lake Labs retains information it directly receives, such as an email or a security record, only as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose collected, security, recordkeeping, dispute resolution, or legal compliance.

8. International processing

Key Lake Labs is based in the United States. Cloudflare and other service providers may process information in the United States and other countries, which may have privacy laws that differ from those where you live.

9. Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights relating to personal information, including access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, portability, or withdrawal of consent. Because this website collects very little information directly, we may not have information that can reasonably be linked to you.

To submit a privacy request, email privacy@keylakelabs.com with the subject “Privacy Request.” We may request information reasonably necessary to verify and process the request, and we will not discriminate against you for exercising an applicable privacy right.

10. Children’s privacy

This company website is intended for a general audience and is not designed to collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact us so we can review the situation. The intended audience and privacy practices of each future game will be assessed separately before release.

11. Security

We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards appropriate to this informational website. No online service can guarantee absolute security, so visitors should use care when communicating online.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when the website, service providers, legal requirements, or business practices change. The effective date above will be revised when an updated version is posted. We will update or supplement this policy before introducing a contact form, mailing list, analytics, accounts, payments, website advertising, or app-related data processing.
